Creativity is my passion! Creativity comes from many different places and from people in all walks of life. It is not restricted to just the visual or performing arts. Creativity can be found in almost anything humans do. To come up with major inventions or things that have changed our world, the thinker must have a lot of creativity. The automobile was once a new and creative idea that changed our society. It shows as much creativity as a masterpiece by Da Vinci. Creativity is also found in our everyday activities from finding a new route to school or work around a traffic jam, making substitutions in a recipe or adapting a lesson in the moment to fit the needs of our class. Creativity is everywhere in the books we (hopefully) read, the TV shows and YouTube videos we watch as well as the music we listen to. Creativity is everywhere and part of the human spirit.
This project looks at how affects and is influenced by classroom factors. Inspired by “P is for Pirate: Inspirational ABC's for Educators” this book explores creativity in an ABC book format. With inspiring text, that captures the reader’s imagination and encourages them to use their creativity. The book starts by exploring how creativity and creative thinking is part of the new BC curriculum and the types of creativity. The book includes all 26 letters of the alphabet with high lights including Flourish, Dance, Holistic and dream. Creativity is my passion!
